Millennium Fellowship Project: Back To School Project
Our project aims to provide basic school materials, such as exercise books, stationery, school bags, and sandals, to school children in rural communities who lack them. We also plan to donate textbooks and other learning resources to enhance their education. Our goal is to reach out to 60 needy school children and help them stay in school and learn better.
About the Millennium Fellow
Chinyere Nwogu is a fourth year Microbiology Technology student of the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. As a student much of her study has been focused on the impact of poor sanitary conditions in the communities around her. Through her project, she hopes to have better opportunities and resources to aid in sensitizing these communities on the importance of good sanitary practices, proper waste disposal and management as well as good recycling methods. She believes that clean, healthier communities have better chances of embracing sustainability.
