Millennium Fellowship Project: Techy Medic Initiative

The Techie Medic Initiative is an intriguing project co-founded by my partner and I as medical students, aiming to introduce technology skills to doctors, medical and health science students on different campuses.

The initiative aspires to provide medical personnel with essential technology skills that can improve patient care and healthcare delivery.

The utilization of technology in healthcare has grown increasingly relevant in recent times, and it is crucial that medical professionals remain informed on the latest technological advances. However, a lot of medical professionals lack basic tech knowledge, which hinders their ability to provide effective healthcare services.

The Techie Medic Initiative strives to bridge this gap by offering training programs and workshops devoted to introducing core technology skills to medical personnel. These training programs will cover areas like electronic health records (EHRs), telemedicine, medical data analysis, and medical device usage. One of the main objectives of the Techie Medic Initiative is to enhance patient care by equipping medical personnel with the essentials and skills necessary for providing high-quality healthcare services. By introducing medics to basic tech knowledge, we hope to improve patient outcomes and lower the risk of medical errors.
