Millennium Fellowship Project: Unza Climate Smart

The project is about coming up with ways to eradicate climate change by allowing agriculture to thrive through practicing agroforestry,campaigns,advocacy and practical ways such settling up recycling centers in school, communities and holding seminars about climate change in partnership with qualified environmental specialists as well as recycling companies.

About the Millennium Fellow

Mwilu Matapo is passionate about working with children and making a positive impact in their lives. She has been involved in a number of projects that aim to educate children under Financial Literacy ( Zed Kidpreneur ) and she is an advocate of Cancer Awareness ( Zambian Cancer Society). Through these projects, she has learned how to communicate effectively, work in a team, and manage time and resources. She believes that children are the future and they deserve to have the best opportunities and a healthy environment.

Mwilu is also interested in the affairs to do with climate change, which is affecting the globe and threatening our well-being. She has been inspired by the actions of many activists and organizations who are working to combat this crisis. Mwilu wants to join them and contribute to the global efforts to protect the environment and create a sustainable future for ourselves and the generations to come. She believes that we can collaborate and make a change if we work together and share our ideas and experiences.
