Millennium Fellowship Project: IFCOM SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Illiteracy Free Community (IFCOM) Scholarship program aims at provisions of scholarship opportunities to underprivileged children girls and boys and youth with disabilities in south Sudan. In addition, it also focuses on the teachers training, vocational and entrepreneurship skills training as a way of alleviating poverty and eradication of illiteracy through youth empowerment.
About the Millennium Fellow
Mayen Peter Deng Mayen is a junior at The University of Juba pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science. And after completing his undergraduate studies he hopes to join a master's program in space sciences. Mayen is a co-founder and the Executive Director at Illiteracy Free Community Organization (IFCOM) South Sudan.
IFCOM Organization aims to eradicate illiteracy by improving access to quality education for underprivileged children and training teachers and workers in the field of education and alleviating poverty through the provision of vocational, business and entrepreneurship for South Sudanese who are living in extreme poverty and destitution.
Mayen is a student at Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) class of 2023.
