Millennium Fellowship Project: Patient Education and Healthcare for the differently abled people.

My project focuses on healthcare education to address the lack of awareness among people in my region, leading to substandard services. My goal is to create an inclusive healthcare system by educating both patients and providers, especially in cases where communication barriers, such as sign language, hinder quality treatment, aiming for a mutually beneficial relationship and improved services.

About the Millennium Fellow

My name is Anzal Ahmed Abdullahi,I am a 5th year medical student at The University of Nairobi. I am also a youth counselor trainee with the National Youth Guidance and Counseling. I am highly interested in advocating for the rights of underprivileged patients and communities, specifically healthcare rights and the differently abled people. I hope to empower myself and others to demand more when it comes to their needs .
