Millennium Fellowship Project: The Youth and Mental Health

This project aimed at addressing issues relating to the youth - especially regarding mental health - by discussing: sexually transmitted diseases, drug abuse, the effects of premarital sex and unwanted pregnancies, self discovery, suicide prevention, diet that improves on our mental well-being, financial empowerment and peaceful coexistence with the rest of the community. I particularly touched on these important topics since I did some local research and identified that they played a key role in the mental health state of the youth, with these significantly impacting the community at large.

About the Millennium Fellow

From the University of Nairobi Chiromo Campus, is Kelvin Fred, a student particularly enthusiastic about mental health especially among the youth for the betterment of the community at large through tackling issues ranging from depression and stress, drug and substance abuse, early and unwanted pregnancies, academic pressures, sexually transmitted diseases and the impact of social media on our general well-being: with an
unbiased focus on both it's detriments and benefits.
