Millennium Fellowship Project: Clean Cooking Energy Project

My project is centered on empowering women within households, specifically focusing on improving clean cooking methods. With an aim to address health concerns arising from poorly maintained kitchens and the unaffordability of efficient stoves, the project seeks to support women in less privileged areas. By implementing improved cookstoves known as "jikos," primarily utilizing solar energy, the initiative targets women who face health risks due to exposure to smoke in their homes. These jikos not only enhance the health conditions of these women but also offer cost savings and contribute to environmental conservation by significantly reducing indoor air pollution.
