Millennium Fellowship Project: ENVIRONMENT CLEANUP AND ADOPTING A RIVER

Environmental cleanup and adoting a river is a project that is a group project led by Millennium Fellow Arole Nicholas Louis and Millennium Fellow Millicent Akinyi Okello. The project aims to address pressing challenges posed by climate change by actively engaging in environmental conservation, waste reduction and the sustainable management of our natural resources. Measurable goals include river cleanup milestone by implementing reguar cleanup milestone, monitoring and reporting on the activities done, carrying out educational outreach by holding meetings to educate on the importance of climate action and the role we can play as individuals in promoting environmental sustainability.

About the Millennium Fellow

Samuel Theuri Muriuki is a young goal-driven economist, data analyst and software engineer passionate about making an impact in the lives of the less privileged and providing awareness on environmental sustainability. As an active member of Rotaract University of Nairobi, District 9212, he works together with other members of service to help others, learn new things and make new friends in order to make the world a better place. With a passion in charity work and helping the community, he volunteers with health organizations and campaigns in his community in his spare time. He is an economics student from the University of Nairobi, Kenya.
