Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Nairobi River

The project involves cleaning up the overly polluted Nairobi River. We are doing this by collecting the garbage present on the banks if the river and we will set up filters at intervals on the river to collect the waste

About the Millennium Fellow

Zeinab Rashid is a senior student at the University of Nairobi, Kenya, pursuing a degree in microbiology and biotechnology. She is passionate about environmental health and conservation, and has a lot of ideas and initiatives that can promote sustainable development and biodiversity protection. She is also a co-founder of BRAPHO foundation which involves itself in campaigns on antibiotic stewardship. Zeinab is a hard-working, creative, and ambitious person who aims to make a positive impact on the world through her studies and actions. She plans to further her education by pursuing a master's degree in epidemiology and biostatistics, which will enable her to apply her knowledge of biology and statistics to understand and prevent diseases and improve public health.
