Millennium Fellowship Project: Urbanisme
Urbanisme is a hub for all things urban. The name comes from the French word for urban planning, but also because of the interactive role the name takes on. It can be understood as Urban-is-me. Urban is you. Urban is us. Together, we make up the cities of today, and have an active role in those of tomorrow. Through a compliation of case studies, story maps, photo-albums, and op-eds, users of the site will learn about niche aspects of famous international cities. Each location has been visited and studied! Ultimately, this culminates into quarterly newsletters, focused on elevating and celebrating the cities of the world, and the beloved people in them. Globally, over 50% of the world's population live in cities, and this number is only increasing, which is why this is so important.
