Millennium Fellowship Project: Penn EcoQuest
Penn EcoQuest is an engaging and gamified platform that empowers Penn students to participate in sustainability challenges, track their progress, and earn rewards for
adopting eco-friendly actions. This platform fosters a sense of community and
encourages a collective commitment to sustainable practices, positioning Penn as a
leader in campus environmental initiatives.
About the Millennium Fellow
Teena Bhatia is a sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania studying Computer Science and Finance in the Management & Technology Dual Degree Program. Teena is passionate about harnessing emerging technologies to drive positive societal change. At Penn, Teena is a volunteer at the Penn Vet Working Dog Center, a coding instructor for middle schools in Philadelphia, and Director of Professional Development for Penn Women in Computer Science. Teena has been awarded the prestigious Harvard CBE Sustainability Grant for her project, Rags 2 Bags, which actively contributes to reducing textile waste and plastic bag usage by collecting discarded cloth and transforming it into reusable cloth bags which are then distributed for free to street vendors in India.
