Millennium Fellowship Project: Overcoming Malnutrition and Stunting
Our project aimed to tackle the problems of malnutrition and stunting in the northern region and northwest of Rwanda. We wanted to improve the overall health and wellbeing of the communities by increasing awareness about balanced diets, improving agricultural practices, reducing food losses, and fortifying locally consumed foods.
To achieve this, we conducted community outreach programs and educational sessions to teach people about the importance of nutritious food at every stage of life. We also provided training on effective farming techniques to enhance agricultural productivity and ensure a steady supply of fresh and healthy produce. To prevent postharvest losses, we taught methods for proper storage and processing of crops.
