Millennium Fellowship Project: ICTS in Caribbean Education

ICTs in Caribbean Education is a proposed project that seeks to further the integration of ICT's in teaching methods in the Caribbean. ICTs in education incorporate the use of audios and visuals, which can help students who do not learn best via the traditional 'chalk and talk' teaching method. ICTs in Caribbean Education would involve online tutoring sessions in CXC CSEC French and Spanish and CAPE Law through the use of ICTs. The sessions would include powerpoints detailing the information on slides, the playing of YouTube videos that illustrate the topics in a visual and interactive way, as well as interactive games on platforms such as Kahoot and Quizlet. These tutoring sessions would be held once per week per subject so that students meet their tutors regularly, but are not overburdened by excessive work outside of school. These sessions would also be free to enable the widest range of students to benefit from the inclusion of ICTs in education.
