About the Millennium Fellow

Celeste Nottingham is a final-year student at the University of the West Indies, Mona, majoring in International Relations with a minor in Gender and Development Studies.

She is a budding diplomat and enthusiast of all things related to foreign affairs who currently serves as President 2023/24 and Head Delegate 2023/24 of the Model United Nations club, which has provided her with opportunities to not only develop skills in research, analysis and policy writing while also keeping abreast on current issues that affect the international community at large.

In addition to academia, she is very much dedicated to youth development and efforts to uplift communities and vulnerable groups. As a member of the Resolution Fellowship, she is set to push forth her foundation, Education Equity, which aims to provide holistic education to students of rural communities throughout the Caribbean.

Currently, she holds the position of International Relations Officer at the Youth Education Association and Executive Assistant to the Executive Director of UNESCO Centre for Peace. In both roles, her responsibilities range from planning outreach initiatives to cementing external relations with project partners and sponsors.

She has recently been appointed as Global Youth Ambassador for TheirWorld, an educational association that aims to tackle educational inequality globally.

These positions, along with her service at MCN as Campus Director at her university, all align with her dedication to youth development and skilling, where she hopes to further impact her community and region.
