Millennium Fellowship Project: Human trafficking a menace

Human trafficking has become such a great menace to the world. It has devasting effects to the survivors and the world. Human trafficking affect the society both socially and economically. There are other hazards that triggers human trafficking to include drugs and substance abuse and this usually leads to identity crises and depression as well as addiction to a variety of dirty things such as prostitution leading to life long ailments and death penalty at time. Human trafficking is an on going multi billion business especially in developing countries such as Zimbabwe and Zambia to mention just a few. The targeted group for the trafficking usually ranges from 18 years going forward, this implies that mostly the youths are the ones being trafficked and exploited knowingly or unkowningly. The end to human trafficking is complex but indeed can be accomplished if laws and regulations as well as security levels are to be improved in the targeted areas by the traffickers. Hence, it's a long journey that I strongly wish to get involved in and save lives as a criminologist.
