Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Earth 2.0

The "Trash to Treasure" project engages primary school students in hands-on activities to teach them about climate change and environmental conservation. Divided into sub-projects, it involves interactive sessions where students actively repurpose waste into valuable creations, fostering understanding and empowerment. The goal is to inspire environmentally conscious habits and a sense of responsibility for a sustainable future.

About the Millennium Fellow

Thandeka Chiramba is an eco-loving leader, bursting with passion for the voice of the youth and the empowerment of the girl child. As a singer and public speaker, Thandeka effortlessly combines her love for music and her advocacy for social change. Currently in her third year of law studies at the University of Zimbabwe, she is driven by a desire to promote environmental rights. Thandeka holds a special place as one of the founders of Young People for Climate Justice, an organization dedicated to raising awareness and fostering action on climate change. With her infectious enthusiasm and unwavering commitment, Thandeka is a force to be reckoned with in the pursuit of a sustainable future.
