" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it offers a unique platform to connect with like-minded individuals who are passionate about creating sustainable change. My involvement in the project is motivated by the belief that true leadership involves empowering others and fostering a sense of responsibility towards our environment and society. By collaborating with a global network of changemakers, I hope to amplify the impact of initiatives like the Eco Patriot Project and contribute to a more sustainable and ethical future. This fellowship will allow me to grow both personally and professionally, while making a tangible difference in the world. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: EcoPatriot

EcoPatriot, a project under the Millennium Fellowship affiliated with
the UN Academic Impact, seeks to redefine patriotism by blurring our
national boundaries and uniting together as a global community
dedicated to our planet's well-being. We inspire and empower our
campus community at Huron University to make sustainable choices
and reduce our collective carbon footprint. At EcoPatriot, we believe in sparking a movement of EcoPatriots—
individuals who take pride in identifying themselves as “guardians of the
environment”. Through this commitment, we aim to cultivate a
community of proactive students dedicated to nurturing and protecting
our planet. The EcoPatriot Project aligns with Huron University's vision of
nurturing 'leaders with heart,' developing leaders who are not only
academically accomplished but also deeply committed to environmental
sustainability. By engaging with Sustainable Development Goal 13—
Climate Action, we aim to cultivate an enduring commitment among
our members to adopt sustainable lifestyles and drive positive change.
