Millennium Fellowship Project: Digital Know How
Digital Know How is a project focused on educating the youth in underdeveloped countries, specifically in Ethiopia, in basic knowledge of computers and technology. It is a project that focuses on the SDG of quality education. This project is important as its main goal is to improve the chances of youth in developing countries, especially those from slightly disadvantaged backgrounds, to have a chance in joining the technology industry in the future. Now you may be thinking, is technology really that pressing a matter for countries that have citizens who struggle to get food even once a day? My answer to that question is simple: we live in an era of technology. If our countries plan to grow and improve the quality of their citizens' lives, they need to learn to use all resources effectively. They need to be able to manipulate the growing technology to aid them in their growth. In some way, you can say that this project was chosen because with better-educated youth who have an understanding and a desire to work with basic technologies, the creative power that will be supplied to these countries will be huge, hence aiding in their development for the future.
