" The Millennium Fellowship attracts a wide range of individuals with a wealth of knowledge. Through my involvement, I hope to take advantage of this chance to interact with and learn from these various people as well as to acquire and use their knowledge. which broadens and engages my university experience and will undoubtedly aid in the development of both my core competencies and acquisition of new ones. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Educate the Streets
In this project, we reached out to street kids around our campus area and dedicated an afternoon per week to draw and write with them. We took stationary materials with us and engaged with them, played and inspired them to see beyond their circumstances.
About the Millennium Fellow
At the Addis Ababa Institute of Technology, Nikodimos Abamu Abate is a dedicated second-year mechanical engineering student. He was born in Addis Ababa, but up until an early age, he had the opportunity to travel and learn in most of the local Ethiopian cities. Ethiopia is widely recognized as one of the world's most diverse countries in terms of ethnicity and religion, so we are glad he had the opportunity to visit the nation. It allowed him to have a deeper understanding of variety and provided valuable perspective for understanding the world at large. He therefore intends to make technology equitable and equal for everyone through his upcoming projects.
