" I believe the experience and skills I will garner from the Millennium Fellowship will aid my passions for this project and beyond. I am excited to help communities in my own little way alongside other fellows from my campus while learning new ways to achieve this. I am also anticipating working with like-minded individuals who also love to make the world a better place. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Iya at'omo- Mother and Child
Iya'at omo is a project coined from the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria, which means "mother and child." It primarily targets women and mothers. This study primarily targeted a subgroup of the population in Ido Ekiti, Nigeria. This initiative was completed by organizing health seminars for women and sharing brochures to effectively spread knowledge.
