Millennium Fellowship Project: Iya at'omo- Mother and Child

Iya'at omo is a project coined from the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria, which means "mother and child." It primarily targets women and mothers. This study primarily targeted a subgroup of the population in Ido Ekiti, Nigeria. This initiative was completed by organizing health seminars for women and sharing brochures to effectively spread knowledge.

About the Millennium Fellow

Ayotomiwa Sadiq, a medical student from Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria, is driven by a passion for learning and making a positive impact. Growing up in a community with pressing healthcare challenges, she was inspired to pursue medicine to address these issues. Known for her creativity and dedication, Ayotomiwa excels in both academic and non-academic settings, always seeking innovative solutions to complex problems. Her experiences have shaped a deep commitment to improving healthcare access and equity. Ayotomiwa's ultimate goal is to use her skills to effect meaningful change in her community and beyond.
