Millennium Fellowship Project: Iya at'omo- Mother and Child
Iya'at omo is a project coined from the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria, which means "mother and child." It primarily targets women and mothers. This study primarily targeted a subgroup of the population in Ido Ekiti, Nigeria. This initiative was completed by organizing health seminars for women and sharing brochures to effectively spread knowledge.
About the Millennium Fellow
Agoha Chinaza is a 25 year old final year medical student who has lived in Lagos Nigeria all her life but has been privileged to see other nations of the world and seeing how the healthcare system works and how young teenagers have been properly trained and brought up, puts a desire in her to do more for my community. Being a member of the Millennium Fellowship gives her the opportunity to have an impact on the people around me. She is a lover of people, fighter of many as she chooses to use her voice impact the lives of the people around her. She is a very outspoken young lady whose desires are never put off but instead built on.
