" Giving back to society, helping amplify the lower voices, and improving the quality of life of some people through these projects is one of the things that inspired me to sign up to be a Millennium fellow, as I really appreciate the stage they give people to try and make an impact to society in their own little way.
I want to use it as an avenue to work on my public interactions, as well as network with other people with similar interests as mine. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Iya at'omo- Mother and Child

Iya'at omo is a project coined from the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria, which means "mother and child." It primarily targets women and mothers. This study primarily targeted a subgroup of the population in Ido Ekiti, Nigeria. This initiative was completed by organizing health seminars for women and sharing brochures to effectively spread knowledge.
