Millennium Fellowship Project: Iya at'omo- Mother and Child
Iya'at omo is a project coined from the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria, which means "mother and child." It primarily targets women and mothers. This study primarily targeted a subgroup of the population in Ido Ekiti, Nigeria. This initiative was completed by organizing health seminars for women and sharing brochures to effectively spread knowledge.
About the Millennium Fellow
Toluse Joyce Ayomide, an enthusiastic and bright final-year medical student at Afe
Babalola University's Ido Campus, is originally from Ondo state and currently lives in
Lagos. Her deep interest in promoting others' well-being has led her to engage in
multiple health advocacy outreach programs, focusing on health awareness and
material distribution. Alongside her outreach efforts, she has also embraced various
leadership roles to effectively organize and manage essential projects, demonstrating
her commitment to both health and leadership.
