United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Iya at'omo- Mother and Child

Iya'at omo is a project coined from the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria, which means "mother and child." It primarily targets women and mothers. This study primarily targeted a subgroup of the population in Ido Ekiti, Nigeria. This initiative was completed by organizing health seminars for women and sharing brochures to effectively spread knowledge.

About the Millennium Fellow

Odewenwa Oluwatobi Samuel is a final-year medical student with a profound interest in neuropsychiatry and cardiology. Alongside his medical aspirations, he channels his creativity through music, art and poetry, frequently engaging in singing and writing as hobbies. Known for his diligence and commitment, Oluwatobi actively works toward becoming the best version of himself every day. With a deep passion for helping others, particularly in matters of mental health and emotional well-being, he finds fulfillment in supporting those in need. Beyond medicine, he is also drawn to the performing arts and education, as he really enjoys teaching. Oluwatobi also, someday hopes to be a lecturer, producing and shaping the future medical doctors who are well-rounded with diverse alternative career paths outside of medicine, particularly in the performing arts and music sector.
