Millennium Fellowship Project: Iya at'omo- Mother and Child
Iya'at omo is a project coined from the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria, which means "mother and child." It primarily targets women and mothers. This study primarily targeted a subgroup of the population in Ido Ekiti, Nigeria. This initiative was completed by organizing health seminars for women and sharing brochures to effectively spread knowledge.
About the Millennium Fellow
Pearl Ihensekhien is a 22 Year old, final Year medical student at Afebabalola University, Nigeria. She is so passionate about not leaving this world the same way she met it, with this in mind, she has been involved in leadership and social impact spheres all her life, and she continues to strive harder to making change possible. Her Dream is to ultimately revolutionize the Nigerian Health care system, on the way there, she's gaining valuable and priceless experiences, one of which is the Millennium Fellowship.
