Millennium Fellowship Project: Ado Mental Wellness Initiative
Ado Mental Wellness Initiative (AMWI) is a project that aims to promote mental health awareness, providing support and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health issues in my community. The project activities included writing articles and opinion pieces, conducting outreach programs and the use of questionaires to ascertain the needs of our target audience. This initiative reflected a commitment to nurturing a culture that prioritizes mental well-being alongside physical health.
About the Millennium Fellow
Ezeoke Somunachim Franklin is a young and bright medical student of Afe Babalola University Ado-Ekiti. He was born in Anambra State, Nigeria where he still resides in while studying in Ekiti State. He was a medical student, studying in Ukraine but due to the Russian invasion he had to transfer. He has always yearned for positive social and cultural change for his community and Africa in general. His life experiences both negative and positive have shaped his view on the world. He believes this Millennium Fellowship Development will further his goal to leave his environment better than he met it and also bring him together with individuals who are like minded.
