Millennium Fellowship Project: Climate Nexus

Climate Nexus is an independent project led by Badamasi Aminu. It's a project executed in Dandume Agrarian Community. The project aims to educate farmers in the community about Climate-Smart Agricultural(CSA) practices to boost climate health and agricultural production systems productivity and sustainability. It's a CSA Advocacy Project but community based.

The project idea was ignited as a result of the observation made by the project leader in his community in the areas of rainfall fluctuations and climate change induced losses both pre and post-harvest.

About the Millennium Fellow

Badamasi Aminu, is an agricultural scientist with bias in livestock healthcare and management or production. He has more than five years experience in crop and livestock production.

He's interested in research, teaching, community impact as well as management of Agribusiness.

He executed various projects including a Millennium Fellowship Project tagged 'Climate Nexus' a climate smart project that explore the nexus between Unfriendly Agricultural Practices, food systems sustainable and climate health. The project sensitized 200 farmers in his agrarian community of Dandume, Nigeria on knowledge and adoption of Climate Smart A Practices to boost climate health and subsequent agricultural systems productivity.

He took various courses spanning climate education, Livestock management and agricultural skills to enhace his knowledge and skill base for the good of the humanity.
