United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: YouthRevive

Youth Revive is an independent project led by Milliennium Fellow Surayya Ibrahim Umar.Youth Revive addresses critical issues affecting young people especially drug abuse, sexual violence, and lack of attentiveness to education. Our mission is to empower 150-200 youths (ages 15-30) in Kongo Campus ABU Zaria and the wider community to reach their full potential. Youth Revive will tackle these issues through; Drug abuse prevention and awareness, Sexual violence support and advocacy, Education and goal-setting guidance. Our target audience includes Secondary and tertiary institutions students students, and young people in the community. We will deliver our programs through virtual meetings and webinars, one-on-one mentorship sessions, community outreach programs. By addressing these interconnected issues, youthRevive aims to create a positive impact on the lives of young people in Kongo Campus ABU Zaria and beyond.

About the Millennium Fellow

Surayya Ibrahim Umar is a driven law student at Ahmad Bello University, Nigeria, passionate about empowering women and driving positive change in her community. Born, raised and studying at Kaduna, Nigeria, Surayya is dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of those around her. Through her journey, she has actively participated in various projects focused on societal reform, youth development, and protecting the rights of women and children. Her leadership skills have earned her numerous leadership positions, solidifying her commitment to creating lasting change. As a former consultant for SFH, Surayya continues to strive for excellence, believing that one person can indeed change the world. With support and collaboration, she aims to amplify her impact, inspiring millions to join her quest for a better tomorrow.
