Millennium Fellowship Project: Climate Nexus
We are a team passionate about climate change and how it affects different facets of our lives. the project is team work that includes several sub-project to pull resources, knowledge and experience to work out feasible solutions to climate related issues affecting our immediate community.
facets of the project includes:
- Climate sensitization.
-Afforestations
- New agricultural practices that are eco friendly (tomatoe storage)
- Recycling practice in the school community.
About the Millennium Fellow
Zainab Abubakar is a student at Ahmadu Bello University, Samaru Campus with a Biological science major. She discovered her passion for climate action during the course of her journey and eventually for human rights advocacy. This passion has led her to acquire knowledge and skill to aid in her journey. Through volunteering and being part of organisations like SSDP on campus, she has been able to utilise these skills in order to contribute to the goal of the organisation in driving positive change. Her aspirations include venturing into the professional field where she can contribute to the Sustainable development goals.
