" The Millennium Fellowship is a transformative program that empowers young leaders to address pressing global challenges. By providing a platform for students to develop their leadership skills, collaborate with like-minded individuals, and implement impactful projects, the Fellowship fosters a new generation of changemakers.
It is honor to be one of Millennium Fellows and play a crucial role in civil and community services by undertaking initiatives that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. These projects often focus on issues such as education, health, poverty, environmental sustainability, and social justice. Through their work, Fellows contribute to positive social change, inspire others, and build a more equitable and sustainable future. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Health Without Resistance
Our project, Health Without Resistance, focuses on combating Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) with the motto "Tomorrow's Lifesavers." Our team has been actively raising awareness both online and offline, targeting fellow pharmacists to emphasize our role in addressing this urgent issue. Through talks, we encourage pharmacists to recognize their responsibility in society to spread awareness about the dangers of excessive AMR use.
To reach a broader audience, we create short, impactful videos on social media aimed at educating the public. Additionally, we gather surveys from pharmacists, asking them about their engagement in raising awareness and seeking their professional perspectives on how AMR affects society, especially given their close interactions with patients in community pharmacy settings. This project highlights not only the importance of informed practices but also the role pharmacists play as frontline defenders against AMR, advocating for a healthier future.
