" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it offers a unique platform to
collaborate with like-minded individuals who are passionate about creating positive
change. I do the work I do because I believe in the power of community and the impact
that small, thoughtful actions can have on a larger scale. Being part of this fellowship
allows me to amplify my efforts in making a meaningful difference. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Health Without Resistance

Our project, Health Without Resistance, focuses on combating Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) with the motto "Tomorrow's Lifesavers." Our team has been actively raising awareness both online and offline, targeting fellow pharmacists to emphasize our role in addressing this urgent issue. Through talks, we encourage pharmacists to recognize their responsibility in society to spread awareness about the dangers of excessive AMR use.
To reach a broader audience, we create short, impactful videos on social media aimed at educating the public. Additionally, we gather surveys from pharmacists, asking them about their engagement in raising awareness and seeking their professional perspectives on how AMR affects society, especially given their close interactions with patients in community pharmacy settings. This project highlights not only the importance of informed practices but also the role pharmacists play as frontline defenders against AMR, advocating for a healthier future.
