" "compassion and leadership are core values that fuel most of my actions, As a Millennium Fellow, I look forward to gaining essential leadership skills, making informed decisions, and building a powerful network to impact as most lives I can in my community" "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Health Without Resistance
Our project, Health Without Resistance, focuses on combating Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) with the motto "Tomorrow's Lifesavers." Our team has been actively raising awareness both online and offline, targeting fellow pharmacists to emphasize our role in addressing this urgent issue. Through talks, we encourage pharmacists to recognize their responsibility in society to spread awareness about the dangers of excessive AMR use.
To reach a broader audience, we create short, impactful videos on social media aimed at educating the public. Additionally, we gather surveys from pharmacists, asking them about their engagement in raising awareness and seeking their professional perspectives on how AMR affects society, especially given their close interactions with patients in community pharmacy settings. This project highlights not only the importance of informed practices but also the role pharmacists play as frontline defenders against AMR, advocating for a healthier future.
