" The abilities I acquire from the Millennium Fellowship will be crucial to accomplishing my objectives because they will improve my capacity for collaboration, leadership, and significant change-making. The fellowship's emphasis on strategic planning, impact assessment, and leadership development will give me the tools to successfully grow my projects, like the NDI UMUNYAMAHIRWE FOUNDATION. Using these abilities, I'll be better positioned to organize resources, create enduring relationships, and meaningfully interact with communities.
In addition, the fellowship's focus on international cooperation will extend my horizons by allowing me to network with various changemakers and gain knowledge from their experiences. In addition to being an inspiration, this international network will give me helpful information I may use for my work in Rwanda and beyond. With the mentorship and advice obtained, I'll continue to hone my social impact strategy during the fellowship to ensure my initiatives are creative and valuable. Lastly, the Millennium Fellowship will enable me to realize my goals of empowering and equitably distributing power across society. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Ndi Umunyamahirwe Foundation

My vision for social change is to create a world where young women, especially teenage parents, can rise above societal stigma and systemic barriers to realize their full potential. I envision a society that acknowledges their struggles, supports their resilience, and provides them with the resources and opportunities needed to thrive. This vision stems from my deep awareness of the challenges faced by teenage parents and young women in Rwanda, many of whom navigate cycles of shame, poverty, and exclusion.
