Millennium Fellowship Project: A Million Smiles Kenya
A Million Smiles Kenya is a project dedicated to supporting children with disabilities. The initiative seeks to create a positive impact by fostering inclusivity, providing essential resources, and organizing activities that promote empowerment and joy.
One notable visit was to SCOM Children’s Home, a facility that cares for children with disabilities. During this visit, the project team engaged in activities such as painting, guidance and counseling, games, and sharing a meal with the children.
Future plans include hosting more sessions with added activities like a modeling competition to crown Mr. and Mrs. Disability SCOM, aiming to boost the self-esteem and confidence of the participants while celebrating their individuality and talents.
The overarching goal of A Million Smiles Kenya is to bring smiles to children with disabilities by enhancing their quality of life and advocating for their rights and needs in society.
About the Millennium Fellow
Am Joshua Omwenga a very tenacious young guy living in Nairobi. An studying at Amref International University almost finishing my nursing course .I knew about Millennium Fellowships early last when I was introduced by a friend .Am guy who believes in giving back to the community and I would love to participate Internationally and locally in serving the community. Am ready to partner with groups and different people to learn and establish a proper and safe environment and good health care to the community globally.
