Millennium Fellowship Project: Finance Bridge
My project addresses inadequate financial management skills among women entrepreneurs through a well-structured 6-step approach: community selection, stakeholder engagement, tailored solutions, program rollout with educational materials, evaluation for improvement, and matchmaking with funding partners. Our social venture is inspired by the pressing need to empower women entrepreneurs by addressing the root cause of inadequate financial management skills. Witnessing the potential of women-led businesses in terms of their contribution to employment and economic growth, insufficient mechanisms are stifling them from reaching their full potential. By supporting the financial management efforts of women-led businesses, we aim to empower women to manage finances effectively and business growth. Currently, the project has made it through community selection, stakeholder engagement and tailored solutions. In a few weeks, my team is looking to initiate the program rollout stage and the final stages.
