Millennium Fellowship Project: Sakhi Support Fund
The Sakhi Support Fund (SSF) is a guaranteed, monthly donor-driven initiative where students, faculty, and administrative members sign up to contribute a set amount each month, starting from ₹25 to ₹500. The fund is designed to support the female working staff in maintenance, housekeeping, and dining services, providing financial assistance for essential health products like sanitary pads, as well as covering critical needs such as rent, children's school fees, and other living expenses.
About the Millennium Fellow
Achyutha Sritha Athota, a third-year undergraduate student majoring in Economics and Public Policy at Ashoka University, is a driven and dedicated individual with a strong interest in social impact and women's empowerment. Achyutha's interest in impact investing, venture philanthropy, and blended finance stems from her desire to explore channels for private investment to fund the Sustainable Development Goals. Her passion for creating a positive change in the world has led her to actively engage in volunteering with organizations like Girl Up, where she has organized workshops, fundraisers, and community outreach programs to support gender equality. Furthermore, Achyutha has interned at multiple social impact-oriented organizations, gaining valuable experience and insights into the field. With her analytical skills, strategic thinking, and commitment to social impact, she aims to contribute to meaningful change in the world by leveraging her knowledge and skills to drive positive change.
