" The Sakhi Support Fund is my way of ensuring that the female workers on campus, who work tirelessly to support their families receive the respect and assistance they deserve. By creating a fund that is community driven and provides them with the support they need, I hope to build an environment of shared responsibility. True social impact starts with contributing in however way one can, no matter how small it is! The Millennium Fellowship will provide me with a platform to execute this idea and further my passion in the social impact space. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Sakhi Support Fund

The Sakhi Support Fund (SSF) is a guaranteed, monthly donor-driven initiative where students, faculty, and administrative members sign up to contribute a set amount each month, starting from ₹25 to ₹500. The fund is designed to support the female working staff in maintenance, housekeeping, and dining services, providing financial assistance for essential health products like sanitary pads, as well as covering critical needs such as rent, children's school fees, and other living expenses.
