" A fast-evolving world of today, like ours, can be coined as advancing in terms of
science and technology, but let us not forget that the power of humanity is what keeps us from extinction. With the believe in humanity and the desire of being useful to the world, I am deeply passionate about tackling underlying social challenges in future. For the sake of that passion, I am joining Millennium Fellowship to enhance my skills and sharpen my vision. I can't wait to meet like-minded people and learn from them on the journey. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: SAHARA

Project Sahara is a self-initiated project by Millennium Fellow Prerana and her friend Yashna. This project is designed to offer children a constructive alternative to life on the streets, equipping them with skills for sustainable earning and providing educational support. By combining motivational guidance, practical skill-building, educational access, and sponsorship, we aim to break the cycle of poverty and empower these children to build a better future for themselves. Our holistic approach creates a pathway for street children to transition away from beginning and towards a life of empowerment and self-reliance. This project is about providing immediate support while planting the seeds for long-term growth and success. With the right tools and opportunities, these children can overcome the challenges of their current circumstances and become the innovators, leaders, and change-makers of tomorrow.

About the Millennium Fellow

From being the best young volunteer in community clean up campaign to being club president at school, she always went on putting effort in serving the community she grew up in. Her early inspiration came from her parents who always wanted her to grow up to be a kind woman more than anything else. In few dark alleys of the world, she wishes to at least light a candle with her effort.
