" Ever since I got the sense of belonging, I've always wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself. This made me sign up for multiple group projects. I prefer group projects to personal projects because it makes me have that sense of satisfaction that I wouldn't have gotten if I worked alone. I truly believe in the saying that two heads are better than one. We can achieve more by unity rather than diversity. I am truly excited for being a part of the Millennium Fellowship because it will definitely make me work hand in hand with a group or more. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Environmental Hygiene and Societal Values

This is a project that has been on my mind for quite some time. The sanitation in the Nigerian environment, as we all know, is not visually appealing and poses significant health risks. I have conducted some research and identified the root causes of this environmental pollution, which leave our surroundings in disarray.
First on my list is the living conditions in some Nigerian communities. Many areas lack overall environmental hygiene due to negligence or ignorance. People live in these environments without taking proper care of them. There is no proper waste disposal system, limited knowledge about sanitation, and several other issues that negatively impact the environment.
Secondly, I want to highlight the issue of water. In some Nigerian communities, including my own, water is a scarce and difficult resource to access. For proper hygiene to become a habit in the community, there must be a reliable and sufficient supply of clean water.
To address these issues, lessons and seminars will be organized to educate the community about the dangers of living in such conditions and how these challenges can be mitigated.
