United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Sidney A. Ribeau President's Leadership Academy Serivce Project
Our cohort split into 3 groups to focus on various aspects of wellness. One group focused on enviornmental wellness and sustainabliliy, they partenered with Bowling Green State University's Office of Campus Sustainability to plant native 10 trees on the university's campus. Our second and third groups focused on mental health and educational wellness by partering with schools. One of these two groups facilitated a letter writing campaign, college students wrote letters to give to highschoolers in Detroit, MI, detailing how their experience transitionitioning from high school to college. The letters were given to students during a Mental Health and Wellness day at the school and reportedly conviced several students who were not considering higher education to apply. The final group fundraised over $2,500 USD to buy Christmas toys for elementry school childeren in Bowling Green, OH.
About the Millennium Fellow
Amelia Alwxander is a rising sophomore studying political science and Spanish. She is involved in the honors college, the President's Leadership Academy, and Environmental Action Group. She wishes to study law or work in nonprofit administration after completing her undergraduate degree.
