ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2024

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Sidney A. Ribeau President's Leadership Academy Serivce Project

Our cohort split into 3 groups to focus on various aspects of wellness. One group focused on enviornmental wellness and sustainabliliy, they partenered with Bowling Green State University's Office of Campus Sustainability to plant native 10 trees on the university's campus. Our second and third groups focused on mental health and educational wellness by partering with schools. One of these two groups facilitated a letter writing campaign, college students wrote letters to give to highschoolers in Detroit, MI, detailing how their experience transitionitioning from high school to college. The letters were given to students during a Mental Health and Wellness day at the school and reportedly conviced several students who were not considering higher education to apply. The final group fundraised over $2,500 USD to buy Christmas toys for elementry school childeren in Bowling Green, OH.

About the Millennium Fellow

Carly Campbell is a dedicated Forensic Science student at Bowling Green State University. While she focuses on her major she also is working towards a minor in chemistry. She hopes to finish her undergrad to then begin her masters in Forensic Science at Bowling Green State University. She is a scholar in the 2023 cohort of the Sidney A. Ribeau President's Leadership Academy where she develops leadership skills, engages in community service activities and much more. She loves engaging in different organizations and activities on campus while learning more about herself and others!
