ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2024

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

" Being a Millennium Fellow will develop various skills such as collaboration and
communication while impacting the lives of those around me. I'm very excited to hear all of the ideas my cohort has to better our community and start planning for our service project. I have no doubt the skills I will learn this semester will enhance the work I do in my career and future projects. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Sidney A. Ribeau President's Leadership Academy Serivce Project

Our cohort split into 3 groups to focus on various aspects of wellness. One group focused on enviornmental wellness and sustainabliliy, they partenered with Bowling Green State University's Office of Campus Sustainability to plant native 10 trees on the university's campus. Our second and third groups focused on mental health and educational wellness by partering with schools. One of these two groups facilitated a letter writing campaign, college students wrote letters to give to highschoolers in Detroit, MI, detailing how their experience transitionitioning from high school to college. The letters were given to students during a Mental Health and Wellness day at the school and reportedly conviced several students who were not considering higher education to apply. The final group fundraised over $2,500 USD to buy Christmas toys for elementry school childeren in Bowling Green, OH.

About the Millennium Fellow

Juliann Hogle is a sophomore at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, OH, USA. She is studying Medical Laboratory Sciences on the pre-med track with a minor in chemistry. At BGSU, Juli is involved in the President's Leadership Academy, which focuses on developing leadership skills and giving back to the community. In her cohort's most recent service project, they raised money to donate food and toiletries to a local nonprofit called Brown Bag Food Project. In the future, she hopes to continue serving her community and making an impact on those around her.
