Millennium Fellowship Project: UoBD SDS - Project Hope

Project Hope is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at addressing the multifaceted challenges of mental health, social belonging, and financial literacy among university students. At its core is the SDS 3-S Metric, a piloted and validated questionnaire designed to assess and analyze student stress and anxiety across three interconnected domains: Self (mental health), Society (communal acceptance), and Spending (financial literacy).
This project recognizes that sustainable mental health extends beyond individual well-being to encompass financial stability and social inclusion. By integrating data-driven insights, the SDS 3-S Metric serves as both a diagnostic tool and a foundation for targeted interventions that empower students to build resilience and thrive in a complex academic environment. Furthermore, the tailor-made sessions aimed at improving student wellbeing around the 3 domains have helped show improvements in the same.
Aligned with the theme "Towards a Sustainable Future," the project not only identifies critical stressors but also contributes to the development of holistic support systems. Through this initiative, we aim to redefine well-being in higher education and provide a replicable model that can inspire universities worldwide.
