ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2024

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

" My passion and concern for young people, and the desire to alleviate them from poverty in various ways drove me yo do this. I'm affirmative that being a millennium fellow will equip me with the necessary knowledge and the needed community to carry out this work. I look forward to working with other fellows to work on this project. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: The Girl Empowerment; thinking beyond her scope.

My project is based on the SDG 5, which is Gender Equality. The project is composed of a virtual webinar and a live skill empowerment session. My project name is "The Girl Empowerment; thinking beyond her scope". The subtopics that the speakers at the webinar dwells on were, "becoming self aware, Harnessing the strength within, thinking beyond border, and being a person of value and offering vale".
Then, the skill empowerment session constituted 2 skills, which were Gele artistry and crochet artistry.

About the Millennium Fellow

Grace Oluwafunmilayo Falomo is a young, bright and dogged young lady who is passionate about growth, discovery of purpose and seeing people become better version of themselves. She is currently a 3rd year medical student at Bowen University, Nigeria who aims to impact her world by caring for the health and well being of people placed in her care and more. She's a millennium fellow who's passionate about the SDG's ,3 and 4 and 5.
She's also a creative who explores different crafts that can be done by hand. With that, she does the African gele styling, yarn crochet and hair styling.
She's a personal development enthusiast who believes that there's more to be birthed within than we see on the outside. Therefore, she makes effort to develop herself daily and helps other people do the same. She's also a drama minister who shares the message of the gospel through pictures with her team at Bowen University.
Above all, she's an ardent lover of God who gives love to anyone she encounters.
