Millennium Fellowship Project: Save The Marine Life'

The "Save the Marine Life" project, as part of my Millennium Fellowship, is dedicated to
conserving marine ecosystems and promoting sustainable practices that align with Sustainable
Development Goal (SDG) 14, "Life Below Water." This initiative seeks to address the growing
threats to marine biodiversity, including pollution, overfishing and habitat destruction by
implementing educational and action-oriented strategies. Our project envisions a future where
marine ecosystems are protected and thriving with increased awareness and active participation
from the local community in conservation efforts.
The core objectives of the project are:
● To arrange awareness campaign and spread informational materials to the local
fishermen and local stakeholders, on the importance of marine conservation and
sustainable practices specifically about marine pollution through microplastic.
● To make policy changes with the help of Department of Fisheries and conducting the
awareness by their help for not making marine pollution.
I intend to organize one or two seminars each month and want to cover multiple coastal areas.
Cleanup activities to reduce waste in coastal areas, ensuring data collection on waste reduced and the community members who reached will also be included.
