United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Rindco. Leathers

Rindco. Leathers is a social enterprise that works on how to produce alternative leather like material from fruit fibers and sustainable production mechanisms. It aims to meet the leather demand for the country as well as provide an eco-friendly and carbon footprint reduced material for the market.

About the Millennium Fellow

Shanen Anne Gomes is currently in her 3rd year, majoring in Biotechnology at BRAC University, Bangladesh. She is a passionate, active and hard-working individual, aiming to work for the betterment of humanity and the environment. She has been actively involved in project works and social activities, putting emphasis on climate action and the sustainable development goals. She believes with individual contributions and conscience, our goal towards building a better tomorrow would be possible to observe in reality.
