" I am positive that especially climate change, the most pressing topic of all, is in need of an international student perspective. With the help of the Millennium Fellowship network, I hope to foster climate activism as well as bring opportunities to educate oneself on that matter to the generation that will face the consequences of this catastrophe as the future leaders of our world. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Climate Law Summer School

The Climate Law Summer School is a project, started by students at Bucerius
Law School years ago, targeting German speaking Law Students and trying to
help them find their way in climate law in order to help Germany become more
sustainable in the future. The pilot has started this summer and since autumn of
this year, the University has officially taken on the project and will continue the
work for at least three more years. The students will continue to participate in
building the project, by advising the university, helping out in marketing and giving
feedback for the curriculum. The project aims to support SDG 13.

About the Millennium Fellow

Katharina Meinass is a law student at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany. For many years, she has been passionate about educational equality. After graduating from high school, she volunteered full-time for a year in an educational scholarship program, that supports children, but also their families. Ever since Katharina got familiar with the effects of climate change on this matter, she has wanted to advocate for climate law and climate protection even more in order to fight for educational equality in countries that are particularly exposed to extreme weather changes.
