" After getting admissions in university I realized so much that our society is missing the man power who work for the betterment of the society. So I decided to work for my society and for that I need knowledge, team work, skills as well as invaluable experience which I can get via this Millennium fellowship 2024. I think after completing this year fellowship I will be able to train other young people, share my ideas and work for the betterment of my society. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Exclusion of intersex women from Quetta society
My project was on how Criminal tribe act of 1871 played role in the exclusion of intersex women from quetta society. After cearfully analyzing CTA and then participant opinions I came to the conclusion that CTA played a mojor role in the exclusion of intersex women from quetta society. In CTA it was mentioned that intersex or cross dressers are the one who take heterogeneous child and then convert them into intersex, and those are criminal with that trand in mind and with the passage of time this trand converted into culture and now no one want to be affiliated with intersex women in Quetta.
About the Millennium Fellow
Muhammad Faisal is a young, energetic and a hard working student. He was born in Quetta but basically belongs to Peshawar. From his childhood he was an introvert person and feel shy with strangers. After completing his Fsc degree he wanted to join Pakistan army as a commissioned officer but unfortunately he was not recommended twice at ISSB. After that he achieve merit scholarship at Balochistan University of Information Technology Engineering and Management Sciences Quetta. When he joined university he found interest in social work/ activities. That's is why he joined student management team. Currently he devoted himself for social work he wanted to broaden his knowledge, ideas and work for NGOs in future
