Millennium Fellowship Project: TechBridge
TechBridge: Empowering Communities Through Digital Literacy and Innovation is an initiative aimed at addressing the digital divide in underserved communities. The project focuses on equipping individuals, particularly youth and women, with essential digital skills to enhance their access to technology, employment opportunities, and innovative tools for problem-solving.
Between August and November 2024, the project provided digital literacy workshops, covering topics such as basic computer skills, internet safety, and using technology for entrepreneurship. These sessions were tailored to meet the specific needs of participants, empowering them to leverage technology for personal and professional growth.
By the project's completion, over 50 participants had successfully completed the training program, gaining practical skills to thrive in the digital age. An impact assessment showed increased confidence in technology use and a boost in participants’ employability. The project also established partnerships with local stakeholders to ensure sustainability and scalability beyond the Fellowship period.
